In the winter of last year we began work in Lahore, Pakistan. With over 10,000,000 people, it makes it one of the most densely populated cities in the whole world. Although the city thrives economically, Pakistan remains to be a third world country. A Swiss banker once said, “Pakistanis are poor people but Pakistan is not a poor country.”
Much of the countries wealth comes from neglect, low pay, and slavery. Many children are dependent on enslavement in order to feed themselves and survive. Because of the support of our partners, we are able to sponsor and support a Sunday School so that all these children have an opportunity to learn about the love of Christ. Our missionaries in Pakistan work hard to educate the children, teaching them the language of Urdu and giving them fun activities about bible stories and Christ!
Your support has helped us supply them with clothing, blankets, and undergarments. Earlier this year they had an immense need for footwear because all the children worked barefoot outside in the dirt which exposed them to foot disease and cracking of their soles. Within a week we were able to provide all the children with new shoes! You can see the pictures by following this link:
Working in the sun the children get extremely thirsty and dehydrated. We were recently able to provide clean drinking water to all the children. We also purchased hats so that they would be protected from the harmful sunrays. You can see new pictures by following this link:
We believe that these children deserve to have freedom and we need your help to make a stand against child labor and hunger! Support this ministry and the needy children of Pakistan!
